Yes, it’s a perfect XK8. Yes, it has the best color combination possible. Yes, it’s immaculate. No, it isn’t worth anything close to $12,500.
!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!
And they're all priced like this, but they’re not all so damn perfect. I’m going to go crawl into a fetal position and spend the next few hours crying.

Top goes down price goes up. Coupes are cheaper.

The irony is that I prefer the coupes, especially the post-facelift ones, but absolutely no one has them for sale. I think I saw one coupe for sale within 100 miles of me on Autotrader.

An XK8 road trip would be a great road trip.

Wouldn’t it? They are reliable, you know you want one, it is only 12-14 hours at most from Chicago to Jersey, Fly in Friday afternoon, drive back Saturday-Sunday taking in some of the great carr museums on the way home. The Studebaker and Auburn Cord Duesenburg museum on on the way and could easily be on Saturday

I’m totally going to use this line at some point.

God, that’s tempting. My only fear would be having to do that drive without knowing the condition of the secondary tensioners.

Find a Jag shop local to where you ate buying and have it done before you set off. Cars are for adventure, buy a car and have an adventure.

+ all the 1's this. I’ve done the drive before, it’s not bad at all.

They got more reliable in the later years of production. But that’s a 2001 model... not as good as the 2004+ models:
